On Tuesdays during the lunch time hours, the student center at my church is open for prayer. It’s a place of peace and of worship. I don’t get to go nearly as often as I’d like.
But I did make it by there yesterday for just a few quick minutes before picking up the little one from preschool. I could hear the music drifting out as I was walking toward the door and I though my heart would pound out of my chest with the anticipation of stealing a moment alone with my Love.
I slipped in the door into the cool quiet, hidden in the shadows that the dimmed lights at the front didn’t reach,
hidden by His hand,
drawn into Him immediately.
And after writing a quick note of thanks in my gifts journal for this moment in time carved out of my day just for me and Him, I knelt before Him, sat at His feet for just a moment. But what a precious moment it was. Because He was there.
We need only whisper His name and He is there.
We need only think on Him and He is there.
He is always found by those who seek Him.
Oh Jesus, that we would be desperate for You…
